New Beginnings Incorporation: New Beginnings Transitional Services is a non-profit community development organization founded in 2009 by military veterans and mental health professionals. We started our charitable services with $12,000 of support from corporate sponsorships, private donations, and fundraising activities.
Our work is about homeless prevention and reducing street homelessness, fighting hunger by providing access to healthy food sources, and providing financial support to incarcerated veterans enrolled in vocational or college programs. We have committed ourselves to bring compassion and understanding to military families in need of housing and other basic living necessities.

The men, women and children who enter the gates of the Orange County Rescue Mission come from many walks of life and are all wounded in different ways. Some are highly educated, many are survivors of abuse, addiction and abandonment. None of these people ever imagined they’d be homeless and they all need our help. The people who come to us could be your neighbor, your coworker or perhaps a member of your own family. Our goal is to treat each person with respect and dignity. We prayerfully consider how we will implement an Individual Treatment Plan for those who come to us for help.

We provide both residential and emergency services to the community, including meals, showers, clothing, academic courses, employment workshops, job search assistance and referral services.
